General Outpatient Clinic

Outpatient Clinics of Hacettepe University İhsan Doğramacı Children’s Hospital admit all pediatric patients up to the age of 16. A physician called "door physician" welcomes the patients. After the door physician evaluates the patients arriving at hospital, gives a queue number for Pediatric Emergency Outpatient Clinic, General Outpatient Clinics, Infection Outpatient Clinic, Diarrhea Center or Adolescent Outpatient Clinic depending on the complaints and findings. Sequence numbers are given on a daily basis between the hours 07:30-16:00.

Better service quality of our outpatient clinic depends on our careful and meticulous efforts. Our purpose is to diagnose patients accurately, restore their health by giving the best treatment as well as ensure that they leave the hospital with satisfaction and a restored trust in us. A good enlightenment achieved through tolerance and good-humor, is the most important way to succeed in patient- physician relations.

Pediatric Emergency Outpatient Clinic provides a 24-hour service on a continuous basis. Emergency Outpatient Clinic physicians offer service in eight-hour shifts, with at least 2 physicians on each shift. The number of physicians is increased between 17:00-24:00 and at weekends, when the demand from patients tend to grow. In the Pediatric Emergency Outpatient Clinic, all patients are admitted for examinations and treatments on a 24 hour basis and meantime, required consultations (advisories) are provided to departments within the shortest time as much as possible like in half an hour. All types of tests and consultation services are offered to patients on a 24-hour basis. The Emergency Service consists of patient examination beds, patient follow-up section, burn, plaster, operating rooms and a total of 13 beds. Oral and intravascular fluid therapy, blood and plasma support, steam and oxygen practices, various medical treatments, patient monitoring, plaster-splint, stitching and medical dressing services are provided. Tests such as complete blood count, biochemistry, blood gas, and urinalysis are rapidly resulted at the Pediatric Emergency Biochemistry Subdivision located by the Emergency Outpatient Clinic. In the event of no vacancy at our hospital, patients at Emergency Outpatient Clinic are transported to necessary other hospitals by ambulance with a physician and epicrises after their general conditions are brought to a balanced state and their rooms/beds at other hospitals are arranged. Approximately 10 physicians offer service to pediatric patients in the outpatient clinic. resident physicians who are at their fourth year under the consultancy of a chief assistant and a member of the academic staff of Department of Pediatrics of Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine.
