Dr. Galip Gencay Üstün 2006 yılında Antalya Yusuf Ziya Öner Fen Lisesi’ nden mezun oldu.
2012 yılında Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi’ nden onur öğrencisi olarak mezun oldu. Mezuniyet sonrası Devlet Hizmeti Yükümlülüğü kapsamında 4 ay süreyle Konya Ereğli Devlet Hastanesi’ nde Pratisyen Hekim olarak çalıştı.
Anadolu Üniversitesi Açıköğretim Fakültesi Sağlık Kurumları İşletmeciliği önlisans programından 2014 yılında mezun oldu.
Hacettepe Üniversitesi Sağlık Bilimleri Enstitüsü Kozmetoloji Tezsiz Yüksek Lisans Programı’ nı 2017 yılında tamamladı.
2018 yılında Hacettepe Üniversitesi Plastik Rekonstrüktif ve Estetik Cerrahi Anabilim Dalı’ nda uzmanlık eğitimini tamamlayarak Plastik Cerrahi Uzmanı oldu.
2018-2020 yılları arasında Devlet Hizmeti Yükümlülüğü’ nü Ankara Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi Plastik Rekonstrüktif ve Estetik Cerrahi Kliniği’ nde yerine getirdi.
2020 yılı itibariyle Hacettepe Üniversitesi Plastik Rekonstrüktif ve Estetik Cerrahi Anabilim Dalı’ nda Öğretim Üyesi olarak görev yapmaktadır.
2021-2022’ de Belçika’ da bulunan Universitair Ziekenhuis Brussel’ de meme kanseri sonrası meme onarımı, meme estetiği ve vücut şekillendirme estetiği üzerine klinik üst ihtisasını tamamladı.
2023 yılında Plastik Cerrahi Doçenti unvanını aldı.
2023 yılında Anadolu Üniversitesi İktisat Fakültesi İktisat Bölümü’ nden lisans derecesiyle mezun oldu.
2024 yılında Hacettepe Üniversitesi Sağlık Bilimleri Enstitüsü İleri Plastik Rekonstrüktif ve Estetik Cerrahi Doktora Programı’ nı tamamlayarak bilim doktoru “PhD” unvanını aldı.
Avrupa Plastik Cerrahi Kurulu (EBOPRAS) “Yeterlik Sertifikası” na sahiptir.
Türk Plastik Rekonstrüktif ve Estetik Cerrahi Derneği üyesi ve aynı derneğin “Yeterlik Sertifikası” sahibidir.
Aynı zamanda International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS), Estetik Plastik Cerrahi Derneği (EPCD) ve Rekonstrüktif Mikrocerrahi Derneği (RMCD) üyesidir.
Evli ve iki çocuk babasıdır.
